Adeleke Sijuwade is a Nigerian born fashion designer. I first heard about this exquisite man through a friend of mine who bought a few pieces from his Spring 2009 Olori collection which features vibrantly colored handmade dresses and some to-die-for jumpsuits in distinctively Afro-oriented prints. He has dressed Tyra Banks, Erykah Badu and Chanel Iman amongst many others. But this post is not about his work, as fabulous as it may be. It's about his personal style. He's been quoted saying "Style is never planned, never calculated, it is something you do, it is your identity". I find it hard to believe he never plans an outfit because his fashion sense is tailored to perfection. But i guess, when you have it, you have it. When i see him i think of a cross between Mos Def & Common. Ok, i'll stop now. Men, take some damn notes.
